Therapy for Teenagers and Young People
Claire has been a specialist youth worker for more than twenty years years and brings a unique understanding to her therapy practice.
With extensive experience of working with young people with complex needs, previously she managed youth services for the Royal Air Force in Cyprus, and supervised teams of children’s social workers across the UK.
Claire is an approved therapist with the Prince’s Trust and regularly works with the YMCA in Southend on Sea, Essex.
“Just to let you know that we had a meeting of the project staff in Essex last week and there was some really great feedback about the work you’ve done with some of our young people. The mentors have reported some huge changes in the young people which is fantastic to hear.“
Social media opens up a world of opportunities.
Unfortunately, although new knowledge and wonderful experiences can be gained in an instant, lots of young people fall prey to cyber bullying, sexting and other forms of exploitation.
If you are the victim of online bullying, sexting or any other kind of abuse, this can impact on your general health in many ways.
Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, lack of confidence and poor self-esteem are just some of the problems which therapy can help to resolve.
Achieving Your Full Potential
Maybe some kind of phobia or anxiety is affecting your everyday life.
Or perhaps you could do with a boost in confidence and self-esteem.
It might be that you’d like to get even better at what you’re already doing – such as improving your sports performance or debating skills.
And, of course, exam season brings its own stress, but you may be surprised at how easily you can become calm, relaxed and focused as you walk into the exam hall!
Whatever you’re looking to achieve, a little help can go a long way.
Passionate about helping young people to build rich and rewarding lives, last year Claire raised nearly £2000 for the YMCA in Southend, Essex, with her friend Tamara. Read about their Cornish adventure here: Southend YMCA
